Tuesday: Community Project - Continue Criterion B, Page 7
Depending on your homeroom, you may begin to meet with students regarding their projects.
By the time they submit their Process Journal in December, ALL students in your homeroom need to have had their initial meeting with you as their advisor.
Use page 16 & 17 in the process journal to record your meeting date, notes, and signature. This is an IB form. Students DO NOT need to fill out their student number or school number. You are their supervisor.
*IF you are not ready to meet with students this week, there will be another reminder about student meetings later in the quarter.
Wednesday: Study Hall
Thursday: No Homeroom

WEEK 3
Monday: Video
Class rosters and wish lists from DK will be provided to teachers this week.
source: WCMS Toy Drive 2018 from WCMS Bulldogs TV on Vimeo.
Information that should be covered:
- Each HR is partnered with another HR on campus. These are then assigned a DK classroom (which have already been determined).
- Every child from DK will have a wishlist
- Students need to understand that if they don’t have $8-10 for gifts, there are other options to contribute (wrapping paper or even a couple of dollars toward the purchase of gifts, or they can even do parts of gifts, etc) *Students can also contribute old gently used and clean winter coats/scarves and hats to donate to the school.
- It’s fun to also have a place where gifts can be stored or money collected- a big box wrapped in holiday paper or a stocking to put money/GC’s in
Tuesday: Action
DIVIDE AND CONQUER
Positivity is KEY, if you stay positive, students will absorb this!
There are many ways to compile a list of wants:
- create one large poster that lists the wants (like a shopping list)
- photocopy the lists and students can choose to adopt that student-some students may partner up with others to work with that list
- Put an item on a post-it and put on a poster. Kids can then take the post-it as a reminder of what they want to get.

WEEK 5
Monday: Community Project - Finish Criterion B
This week, students will finalize their work on Criterion B - Process Journal Pages 7-8.
Also, this is an excellent time to meet with your students to check in with their progress. By the time they submit their work in December, ALL students in your homeroom need to have had their initial meeting with you as their advisor. If students are working in groups, you may meet with the partnership/group at the same time.
Use page 16 & 17 in the process journal to record your meeting date, notes, and signature. This is an IB form. Students DO NOT need to fill out their student number or school number. You are their supervisor.
Any students who are finished with this task may move into study hall.
Tuesday: Toy Drive Check In/Community Project
Wednesday: Study Hall
All community project process journals must be collected by homeroom teacher by Wednesday, December 20th.
If students are needing additional time to complete their work for Criterion A & B, students should be taking their process journals home for homework. Also encourage students to attend Power Hour if possible to complete their process journals.
