Timeline for IBMYP – Accelerated Placement for the 2025-26 School Year


April - May 2024 CAASPP Testing Window for Currently Enrolled Students

August - September 2024 iReady Testing Window for Currently Enrolled Students

October 1 Online Application Available for All Students

Mid-October Notify Families of Students Currently Enrolled in SJUSD of IBMYP – Accelerated Placement Eligibility

October 23 IBMYP – Accelerated Information Night 6:00 PM at Churchill MS

November 19, 20 Visitation Days, IBMYP - Accelerated, at Winston Churchill MS 

*No need to make a reservation. This is a drop-in visit that will last approximately an hour.                                    

11/19- 8:30am - 11:00am and 12:30pm - 1:30pm

11/20- 8:30am - 11:00am and 12:30pm - 1:30pm

November 22 Last Day to Apply Online for All Students Proof of Residency & IEPs Due (Not Currently Enrolled Students)

December 2 Report Cards Due (Not Currently Enrolled Students) CAASPP Scores Due (Not Currently Enrolled Students)

December 3 Placement Testing at Churchill MS (Not Yet Qualified Students) 4:00-6:30pm

January 17 Commitment Letters Due

Early February Notify Families of Placement Status in IBMYP - Accelerated

February 17 First Day for IBMYP - Accelerated enrollment at SJC

February 21 Eligibility Appeals due by 4pm

March 28 Last day for IBMYP - Accelerated enrollment at SJC

Campus Visitation Days: 

Interested students and families may attend a Churchill student-led tour of our campus during these designated times. 

No sign-ups necessary.

This informational meeting is intended for 5th and 6th grade families interested in attending Churchill for the following school year. Students and parents are invited to learn about the IB program to help them make their decision as to where to attend middle school. This meeting is typically an hour long.  At the meeting you will meet administrators and the IB Coordinators, plus see general information about the IB program as a whole, as well as Churchill specific items like course offerings, clubs and field trips.
