Timeline for IBMYP – Accelerated Placement for the 2024-25 School Year

April - May 2023 CAASPP Testing Window for Currently Enrolled Students

August - September 2023 iReady Testing Window for Currently Enrolled Students

October 1 Online Application Available for All Students

Mid-October Notify Families of Students Currently Enrolled in SJUSD of IBMYP – Accelerated Placement Eligibility

October 25 IBMYP – Accelerated Information Night 6:00 PM at Churchill MS - Presentation Slides HERE

November 7, 8 Visitation Days, IBMYP - Accelerated, at Winston Churchill MS

11/7- 8:30am - 11:00am and 12:30pm - 1:30pm
11/8- 8:30am - 11:00am and 12:30pm - 1:30pm

November 17 Last Day to Apply Online for All Students, Proof of Residency & IEPs Due (Not Currently Enrolled Students)

November 28 Writing Assessment at Churchill for Students Who Applied Online (Currently Enrolled or Not Currently Enrolled Students)

November 30-December 1 Writing Assessment at Howe, Greer, Dyer Kelly, and DPM for Students Who Applied Online (Currently Enrolled Students Only)

November 30 Report Cards Due (Not Currently Enrolled Students)
CAASPP Scores Due (Not Currently Enrolled Students)

December 4 Open Enrollment Starts

January 12 Commitment Letters due

January 19 Open Enrollment Closes at 5 pm, SJC mails Open Enrollment notifications

Early February Notify Families of Placement Status in IBMYP - Accelerated

February 13 First Day for IBMYP - Accelerated enrollment at SJC

February 17 Eligibility Appeals due by 4pm

March 29 Last day for IBMYP - Accelerated enrollment at SJC

Campus Visitation Days: 

Interested students and families may attend a

Churchill student-led tour of our campus during these designated times. 

No sign-ups necessary.

This informational meeting is intended for 5th and 6th grade families interested in attending Churchill for the following school year. Students and parents are invited to learn about the IB program to help them make their decision as to where to attend middle school. This meeting is typically an hour long.  At the meeting you will meet administrators and the IB Coordinators, plus see general information about the IB program as a whole, as well as Churchill specific items like course offerings, clubs and field trips.
